Chris Graham

Director of Bands – Waccamaw Warrior Marching Band & Waccamaw High School Bands

Chris is a native of Lexington, SC where he was a member of the 5A State Marching Champion Wild Cat Band. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from the University of South Carolina in 1998. He taught at Georgetown Middle School for four years and is currently in his fifth year at Waccamaw High School.

Chris’ bands have received Superior and Excellent ratings at South Carolina’s Concert Band Festivals for the past eight years. Chris has received the prestigious Outstanding Performance Award four times. Students under Chris Graham’s tutelage have represented the Georgetown County School District in the SC All-State Band, Region 5 Band, Eastern District Band, U.S.C. Honor Band, Winthrop Honor Band and All-County Band. Chris, himself an accomplished trumpet player, has performed at social, and church functions throughout the state and directs the Pawleys Island Community Band in his “spare” time.

Chris is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music Fraternity, Music Educators Nation Conference, South Carolina Band Directors Association, National Band Association and National Educators Association.

He is married to the lovely Alyssa Graham who is a guidance counselor at Georgetown
